Brief: To secure planning permission for a second dwelling for a worker on an existing farm and caravan site.
Location: Summerbridge, to the west of Harrogate.
Outcome: Full Planning Permission obtained for a ‘Rural Workers’ dwelling.
A second dwelling was required to help support an existing rural business, and to allow a family member to live on site. WBW put together a supporting case for that dwelling, based on the functional requirement to support both the agricultural and tourism businesses.
WBW submitted the application on behalf of the applicant and a planning permission was achieved for a well-proportioned stone built detached dwelling. The dwelling can now be occupied by a rural worker in the locality.
