Tenant Fees Act 2019
As of 1st June 2019 the government have introduced a new act of parliament in relation to the fees charged to tenants. The key points contained within the Act include the Tenancy Deposit which must not exceed the equivalent of five week’s rent (where the annual rent for the property is £50,000), Holding Deposits which can be no more than one week’s rent and application fees which will no longer be charged.
