WBW was asked to provide planning support for a proposed scheme to convert a stable building to holiday accommodation. We advised that rather than restricting the property to holiday accommodation there were good prospects of securing permission for an ordinary dwelling. WBW provided a Planning Statement to justify the application and additional information to secure validation.
The application received a lot of objection, including opposition from the Highway Authority. WBW negotiated with the Council on behalf of the applicant and helped to secure a favourable outcome. The property owner may still let the premises as holiday accommodation, but it can also be sold and occupied as an ordinary dwelling and the value of the asset is significantly enhanced.
