The RPA announced on the 19th March 2015 that as a result of functionality problems affecting their new online mapping software that they would amend the means of submitting applications in 2015.  Paper application forms will be made available to applicants.  Initially these will be blank and will need all field data entering onto them, but at some time in early April prepopulated forms will be sent to all applicants.  These forms need to be used to submit an application to the RPA and the deadline for this has now been extended to the 15th June 2015.

It is essential however that, if you have not already done so you register with the Rural Payments Online Service for the new Basic Payment Scheme.

This announcement at least brings some certainty to what has been a very difficult situation.  Applicants who have not yet registered with the Rural Payment Online for the new Scheme should ensure that they do so without any further delay.

We have now received updated paper copies of maps for all clients and they will be used to collate the information necessary for the 2015 application.  Clients are now encouraged to make an appointment at their convenience in order that we are in a position to submit claims just as soon as the application forms are made available to us.

Although the deadline has been extended to 15th June 2015 we would encourage applicants to appreciate that this is a new Scheme with many new elements which is bound to lead to pressure as the deadline approaches.  We would therefore encourage producers not to leave matters to the last minute and make their applications in good time.
