All sheep farmers should now have received a 1st December Inventory.  This should be completed and returned to DEFRA by 31 December 2015.  You should also record the number of sheep on the holding in your holding register.  A failure to record the number could lead to a cross compliance penalty being applied.

It is important to note that if you do not return the form you will have an increased risk of inspection.

A little reminder as well that you must record the tag numbers and dates that all sheep are tagged in your holding register.  This is the most frequent cause of penalties following inspection, which can amount to 5% on both your BPS and Environmental Stewardship payments.
